Conquer the Hills One Step at a Time!

This isn’t your first rodeo, you’ve rocked Music City with us before so you know that this course isn’t exactly flat.  If those hills got the best of you last time, start prepping now to show them who’s boss when you come back to join us at the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & 1/2 Marathon in April.  While you’re focused on getting to the Finish Line, we’ll take care of pushing you along with even more music and entertainment than ever before.

We put together some tips to help you conquer the hills:

  1. Keep your torso tall. Your technique is as important as your strategy.
  2. Shorten your stride. Drive your elbows back and focus on pushing off from your toes.
  3. Focus your gaze on the summit. The end is near!
  4. Forget pace. Always run hills by effort, not speed.

Add these drills into your routine, and you’ll be dominating those hills in no time!
