Thank you for volunteering for the Synchrony Financial Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon, 1/2 Marathon and 10K !

This email confirms your volunteer status, provides your assignment time, your station location, and contains your parking pass.

GETTING TO YOUR STATION
We highly recommend that you carpool, there will be a lot of race day traffic. If driving, please click the link below to print your parking pass. The second page of the pass shows where the ADP Parking garage is located and walking directions over to Main Medical. Follow the instructions on the pass to avoid road closures. You must print and present this parking pass to the attendant at the garage. Leave yourself plenty of time to navigate race morning traffic. Review the Course Map and Road Closures when planning your route. We recommend utilizing the Navigation App, WAZE, to provide you directions around the road closures. Please display your parking pass on your dash.

CHECK-IN
Once parked, report directly to the Main Medical Tent to check in (Tempe Beach Park).We will have a volunteer orientation once everyone has checked in (approx 7:15 AM) and then you will go to your assigned location. Please be sure to arrive on time, but don’t arrive extremely early. Upon checking in, grab a red medical t-shirt and name tag. Be sure to include your title (MD, RN, Student) on your name tag. Please do not open supplies or unpack anything until further instruction from your assigned captain. There will be no volunteers to replace you mid-shift, so please plan to stay for the duration of your shift.

ATTIRE
You will receive a medical team t-shirt when you check in at your station. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. We suggest you layer and prepare for different weather throughout the day. You will be outside for the duration of your shift, plan your outfit accordingly.

PERSONAL ITEMS
Please pack lightly, as there is nowhere to securely store your personal items and valuables, such as purses or backpacks. You will have to keep them with you for the entire shift. All supplies will be provided but if you have equipment you prefer to use, such as a stethoscope, you are welcome to bring it with you.

REFRESHMENTS
Coffee and breakfast will be available when you check in. We will also have snacks and lunch available throughout the day. Please bring any additional meals and snacks that you may need.

CHECKOUT
You will be released when the last runner has finished the race. Please clean up and reorganize supplies. For easy clean up, work out of the medical cases during the event, rather than taking everything out. Tear open any unused ice bags and dump them in surrounding vegetation. Pickup all trash from around your station and stack your supplies so they are ready for pickup. Your medical captain can sign off on volunteer hours if needed, be sure to bring the document that you need to have signed.
